Dr. Mandel Sher received his M.D. from Northwestern University School of Medicine, in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center and Harvard Medical School’s Children's Hospital Boston, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Sher completed his specialty training in asthma, allergy and immunology, as well as pediatric rheumatology, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is board certified in Allergy and Immunology, Pediatrics, and Pediatric Rheumatology.
Dr. Sher is a faculty member of the University of South Florida College of Medicine, holding the high distinction of Affiliate Professor, and an allergy and asthma specialist in the community. His credentials as a scientist, teacher and clinician have resulted in his medical peers consistently recognizing him for "The Best Doctors in America," "The Best Doctors in the Southeast" and "Tampa Bay's Top Doctors."
Dr. Sher is a recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic cough. His clinical expertise in respiratory disorders and care of patients and families with complex, chronic medical problems, has led to a comprehensive approach that is effective in bringing patients prompt and long lasting relief from cough. Based on this work, he is a frequent invited lecturer to University faculty, medical residents, and primary and specialty physicians in the community.
